"I have an entrepreneur background; I started a telecommunications company in 1985 that was purchased by Comcast, and then I got involved in private equity. My opportunities were always in technology, and I was searching for an opportunity to get into the medical space. FYZICAL’s model was the perfect path.

When I got started in March of 2019, I acquired an existing physical therapy practice that had been in business for 30 years. We rebranded it, hired additional staff including a physician liaison, and applied the FYZICAL principles to the business to maximize the success.

We were cash-flow positive within 8 months of opening our doors. From there we went on to open our second location in September 2019. Today we have thirteen open locations in the Chicagoland market, and we’re in the process of opening more new locations and acquiring two other practices over the next six months. Our end goal is to develop 25-30 total FYZICAL locations in the Chicagoland market."

"My number one priority getting into this business was my family. I love the medical space, the physical therapy space, and I personally think the future of healthcare has room for significant innovation, and it’s coming. Physical therapy creates healthy bodies for better living, it is the embodiment of both wellness and preventative care. The window for innovation in the next twenty years in healthcare is going to be truly transformative.

I wanted to teach my kids how to run a business, how to invest money, measure the rate of return, and have customer service be the number one goal. My son, Will, is really focused on operations and business development. My daughter Lea works in the clinics handling a Client Care Specialist role, and my daughter Tori is doing incredible things with marketing our clinics. They are all entrepreneurs and this model has allowed them to blossom and take ownership of their future. We have so much good going on, I’m really amazed at what FYZICAL has helped us achieve."
